Are the Kaiser Chiefs Time Travellers?

I’ve never been a big fan of the Kaiser Chiefs music, but it looks like they could be secret clairvoyants…  

Watching the people get lairy
Is not very pretty I tell thee
Walking through town is quite scary
And not very sensible either
A friend of a friend he got beaten
He looked the wrong way at a policeman
Would never have happened to Smeaton

Could the Kaiser Chiefs be time travellers, from a future society where baggage handler John Smeaton is revered as a Robin Hood style legendary figure? Or perhaps it’s just about John Smeaton High School in Leeds, named after the civil engineer hailing from those parts.

I’ll let you make up your own mind…

    They only just discovered this yesterday on Clyde 1. Clearly not on the game unlike the Swanson.
